Caveat Emptor: Dog trainers are not licensed or otherwise regulated. You can verify this by checking your city and county ordinances and state statutes. Therefore, anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. Some trainers are very good and some are not. The dog owner must be careful in selecting a trainer who will not turn Rover into a nightmare. There are many websites which assist you in choosing a dog trainer. The two links immediately following provide excellent assistance.
It is up to the individual dog trainer to find reputable sources of information upon which to fashion their training program. At Advanced K-9 Concepts we make certain that the information we rely on to train your dog comes from current, reputable and reliable sources in the fields of animal behavior, biology and psychology. Please review the list of publications our trainer has read and recommends, above.
